December 15, 2010, Danbury, CT— In June 2010, entrepreneur Chef Richard Bishop opened Classy Catering Creations and www.classycateringcreations.com, a distinctive catering business located in western Connecticut which serves the entire New York City metro area. Chef Ricky’s love of food and of people gives him the ideal qualities for a top-notch caterer, as he is able to bring these two passions together to create memorable events. His past experience includes catering for the New York Giants, as well as working with one of only 63 master chefs in the world, Chef Ed Leonard.

Chef Ricky knows how imperative it is to use only fresh seasonal ingredients in the dishes he prepares. Every product bought for each catered event is done locally and seasonally. By using this practice, he not only keeps dollars in the local economy, but provides a better quality product. “I want to positively impact the community by keeping things fresh and local,” says the former U.S. Army Private First Class, “and I also give back by supporting local charities that help feed people in need.” For Thanksgiving 2010, Chef Ricky and the Destiny Foundation in Massapequa Park, New York helped feed 485 people a nourishing holiday meal. He continues to serve people throughout the country and the world as a chef educator, using his catering website, to help educate others in the world of culinary arts. There is a vast amount of information available on the site, with more added every day.

Chef Ricky proudly served his country in the United States Army from 2002 to 2006, where he occasionally helped in the mess hall, before he received a degree in Computer Science from Iowa State University in 2001. He was involved in the transportation industry in 2007 and 2008, including owning and operating his own trucking company. In 2009, his enthusiasm for food was finally unleashed, as he graduated at the top of his class at the Community Culinary School of Northwestern Connecticut.

When Chef Ricky cooks, his passion and love of food shines through the dishes he prepares, in both flavor and presentation. Every event he caters has a 100% custom designed menu, unlike many caterers which use prescribed packages. Every menu is designed by the client during the initial consultation, along with Chef Ricky’s expert assistance. There are no “canned” menus here, only fresh ones!

Classy Catering Creations also offers FREE tastings to ensure their clients get exactly what they are seeking for their menu, with no unpleasant surprises. And if there is a special menu item that needs to be created for that special event, Chef Ricky has the talent and the know-how to make it … perfectly.
